Helping Students At-Risk for Suicide Assessment, Intervention and Follow-Up for School-Based Practitioners
Presented by: Pat Breux, R.N., BSN and Mitch Samet, Ph.D.
Pat Breux is the Director of Youth and School Initiatives at the Suicide Prevention Center of New York. She is the author and developer of the National Best Practice workshop, “Creating Suicide Safety in School.”
Mitch Samet is a New York State licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in private practice. He is an executive board member of NYASP and chair of the NYS OMH Suicide Prevention Council workgroup for children and youth.
Friday November 2, 2018 Little Theater of Scarsdale High School from 8:00-3:30 p.m.
This is a full day hands-on and interactive professional development workshop designed to improve skills, processes, and protocol for helping students at risk for suicide.
6.5 hours of CPD credits will be offered through NYASP and NYS Office of Mental Health
Workshop fee is $60.00 payable by cash or check only This fee covers the presenters’ travel costs, workshop handouts, CPD credits and a light breakfast and lunch that will be provided.
